About Brendan Littlefield
Brendan Littlefield is a composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and baritone based in Brooklyn, New York. His musical creations are inspired by a diverse range of influences, including poetry, dance, traditional music, and electronics. Brendan's works have captivated audiences in various settings, from prestigious concert halls and universities to intimate lofts and vibrant dive bars. His work explores the dynamic relationship between music and spoken language.
Brendan's compositions have been performed by renowned artists and ensembles, including the JACK quartet, NYU Contemporary Music Ensemble, Linked Dance Theatre, Ruth Wenger, Pamela Bathurst, Matt Pollock, and Brian Paul. In addition to his composition pursuits, Brendan has a performed with esteemed groups such as the C4 Choral Ensemble, the St. Bartholomew's Church Choir, and the avant-pop duo, Reliant Tom.
In completing his Masters in music composition at NYU Steinhardt, Brendan has had the privilege of studying under the guidance of acclaimed composers Michael Gordon and Julia Wolfe, a Pulitzer Prize winner, as well as Dr. Roger Briggs. He has studied piano under the tutelage of Jung and Steven Spooner, and Ivana Kaminska while and voice under David Meyer, Jay Rozendaal, and Paul Speiser.
